I am a New Englander by birth and by ancestry trailing back to 1768 to my great-great-great-great-grandmother Norse on my maternal side. On my paternal side my great-great grandfather Patrick Morrison arrived in Lynn, Massachusetts from Ireland in 1846. My mother born in New Hampshire and my father born in Massachusetts met in Swampscott, Massachusetts where my mother taught history and my father worked locally. After marriage they bought a chicken farm in New Hampshire where I was born. I grew up in Swamspcott, a seaside town north of Boston. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. However, as an Army brat, a Navy bride, and corporate wife I lived all over the United States and in Panama. I was an associate professor of English in New Jersey and a teacher of English as a Second Language in St. Louis. I am now retired, living in Florida, playing golf, tennis, bridge and writing books.
My conventional life harbors an unorthodox thought.
